NBA Champion, 2006 Finals MVP and Olympic Gold Medalist, Dwyane Wade in partnership with Mike Modano, NHL All-Star and member of the 1999 Stanley Cup Championship Dallas Stars invites you to celebrate and have fun in Dallas during the 2010 NBA ALL-STAR Weekend, on Saturday, February 13, 2010, while raising money for worthy causes - Wade's World Foundation and Mike Modano Foundation, to support several dallas based organizations which include Texans Can! and Jonathan's Place.

ATHLETES RELIEF FUND FOR HAITI |

As a sports figure, we know first hand the impact we have on people’s lives. As a human being, we know that we HAVE to respond to help others in time of need. Because of that – we are launching “Athletes Relief Fund for Haiti” to support several organizations that are on the grounds in Haiti and need our help. While we can choose to give individually, it would be a tremendous show of support to give collectively. Their is strength in numbers!!
We have taken it upon ourselves to launch this cause – because Haiti is our neighbor, less than 90 miles away from Miami – which has the largest Haitian population in the United States. But this is not about us – its about them. Please join us in donating the amount of money that you would get paid for ONE GAME – or any amount that you want to give. Let’s all dedicate and sacrifice something to the people who are suffering, grieving and dying in Haiti.

Funds raised will be directed to Project Medishare:
Project Medishare is dedicated to sharing its human and technical resources with its Haitian partners in the quest to achieve quality healthcare and development services for all. Project Medishare is working closely with Haitian President René Préval to organize all medical teams on the ground and implement a plan to set up field hospitals and triage centers around the capital city of Port au Prince.

Join NBA Superstar and hometown hero, Dwyane Wade, in a fun filled evening showcasing Chicago area’s home-grown talent. A variety of performers (singers, dancers, musicians, beat boxer, and more) will compete to become the winner of the 1st annual “D. Wade’s Chicago Has Talent Presented by Gatorade,” with a celebrity host, performer and judges. All net proceeds from the event will benefit Wade’s World Foundation supporting local charities.
*VIP ticket includes a half hour meet and greet VIP reception with Dwyane prior to the show. Saturday September 12 2009 at 7:30 PM |
